faulkner j stanfordDr. J. Stanford Faulkner, Jr., a second generation orthopaedic surgeon, began his professional career in 1986 at the practice founded by his father, James Stanford Faulkner, Sr., M.D. Following his father’s recommendation to specialize in spine surgery, Dr. Faulkner has been treating patients with spine problems for over 29 years.

Dr. Faulkner received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Auburn University and continued his education at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He completed his flexible internship and general surgery residency at Baptist Medical Center Birmingham, which is now Trinity Medical Center. Upon completion of his residency in Orthopaedic surgery at The University of Alabama in Birmingham, he completed his spine fellowship at the Leatherman Spine Center at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.

Since he began his specialty practice in spine surgery Dr. Faulkner has dedicated his practice to surgical treatment of the cervical and lumbar spine.
