If knee or hip pain is keeping you from the lifestyle you love, it may be time to consider joint replacement. The orthopedic surgeons at Grandview Medical Center perform minimally invasive surgical options that are designed to get you back on your feet faster, with minimal scarring and less recovery time than traditional surgery.

In addition to surgery, we offer each patient a personalized treatment plan, including pre-operative education and individual and group rehabilitation programs. These programs bring together a team of surgeons with specially trained nurses, therapists and technicians- all with the goal of providing seamless, coordinated care to get you back to your favorite activities as soon as possible.

Grandview’s Center for Joint Replacement is now a Center of Excellence sanctioned by the Joint Commission. The majority of our RNs are orthopedic certified through the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses.

Look Forward to More Amenities

The new joint replacement center at Grandview Medical Center offers more amenities to help patients and families feel at home. With 25 dedicated beds, joint replacement patients will have access to advanced equipment and communication devices, as well as a large education classroom and rehabilitation gym. Patients can also take in a beautiful view of Birmingham while enjoying a healthy meal in our dining room.

Following surgery, you'll work to rebuild your strength in Grandview Medical Center's Easy Street, a 17-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit which provides intense, multi-disciplinary care to patients with various neurological, muscular, orthopedic and other medical conditions. Led by a physician trained in rehab, a team of nurses, physical therapists, occupational and speech therapists work to improve the patient’s function and promote the highest degree of independence.
